Our goal for this Website is to let people know that we are here: who we are, what we do, that we are available, what our vision is, and how lives are being affected by this Center. Our center was originally opened as a branch office of the AA & CPC in Bristol, TN in Feb. 2001.  As of January 2003 we became an independent, non-profit ministry center and legally named our center Abortion Alternatives and Womens Center.  Our center has a full-time Director, Angie Odom and a part-time Assistant Director, Leanne Manning and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.  Our phones are answered 24 / 7 on our helpline. We are centrally located on 408 Cherekee Park DriveSuite 1 &2 in Elizabethton and serve women in all the tri-cities area.   We are only funding through churches, individuals and businesses.

Hi and Welcome to our Website!

It's often difficult to know where to turn when you are pregnant and afraid.

Well-meaning friends and acquaintances may recommend abortion as the easiest solution to a difficult situation. Yet we have spoke with many women who have made this choice and later regretted it.  It has been reported that 91% of women surveyed in post-abortion interviews stated that they would have carried their child to term if the support had been there.  A. A. & W. C. wants to offer love, hope and support to help you with making the choice for life a practical one, as well as a loving one for you and your baby, in spite of your financial or social situation.

When considering an abortion, you need to GET THE FACTS. Carefully weigh your options based on facts, not emotion.

Common questions are:

Will it hurt?

Is it safe?

Is it a baby?

What is the fetus like now?
What can it feel?

What are the chances that I will experience complications?

What is post-abortion syndrome?

Where CAN you go to get the facts?

Possible complications from having an abortion include:

PHYSICAL:
Damage to cervix
Retained fetal tissue
Hemorrhage
Infection
Perforation of uterus
Sterility
Complications of future pregnancies

EMOTIONAL:
Depression
Sexual Dysfunction
Anniversary Syndrome
Flashbacks
Nightmares
Suicidal Thoughts
Interference with relationships

You owe it to yourself to make an informed decision. We are here to help. Free. No strings. No hassle. Call us to make an appointment.
